Rose Kimberley (Director)

I am originally from Cornwall but lived in Surrey from 2006 for 10 years to pursue work as a professional singer. During this time I wrote original music with a band whilst working at the prestigious Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford. Here I discovered my enthusiasm for education, and I learnt an awful lot about the arts education industry. I went on to not only develop my career as a session singer (having some wonderful opportunities to travel the world as a backing singer / record backing vocals on albums for other artists; learning a lot about the music industry) but I also trained to be a singing teacher in London which invaluably developed my skills to specialise in training vocalists. In addition to this, I also hold a CTLLS teaching qualification and am DBS checked. I am from a contemporary music background, meaning I specialise in genres such as Rock, Pop, Blues, Soul etc. as well as being able to coach Musical Theatre. I am also a solo artist in my own right, having had some success with BBC Introducing as well as releasing and touring my original material.

I’m happy to see all ages and abilities from beginner to professional.

Jess cooper

Hi I’m Jess! I’m a musician based in Plymouth. I am a recent Musical Theatre graduate and singer/songwriter with an interest in folk, pop and jazz. I specialise in acting through song, twang technique and finding the mixed vocal register. I continue to maintain and develop my musical skills by attending the ReBels music training programme at the Barbican Theatre, where I learn from industry professionals and take up as many performance opportunities as I can! Having now also trained with the vocal studio to become a specialist in teaching singers, I have another passion within the music world. I absolutely love sharing everything I’ve learnt with up and coming talent and enthusiastic hobbyists wanting to improve their singing ability.

I’m happy to see all ages from beginner to intermediate level.
